About Golden Horizon Services, an NDIS Provider Built Around Choice
Why We Focus on This Gap
The first few weeks after release, or after a program ends, are when people are most likely to fall through the cracks. Not for lack of wanting support, but because too many providers make it hard to get quickly enough, or hesitate to get involved once they see the complication in someone's file.
That's the specific gap Golden Horizon Services is built to close. If you're a participant, a family member, or a caseworker trying to arrange support before someone's release or program completion, we'd rather have that conversation early than scramble to catch up afterward.
What We Do Differently
-
We consider your preferences when matching a support worker, where possible
-
We support participants across Adelaide, matched with a support worker suited to your specific area
-
Your NDIS plan sets the goals we work toward, not a standard package we hand every participant
Golden Horizon Services was built around a simple idea: people starting over, whether that's after a hospital stay, a rehabilitation program, or time in the justice system, are often met with providers who hesitate to take them on. Usually not because of their disability support needs, but because their situation has a complication most providers would rather not deal with. We don't work that way.
That's not the only reason Golden Horizon Services exists. We support NDIS participants across Adelaide with all kinds of needs and goals, from Supported Independent Living to daily personal care and everything in between. But it's a real part of why we're genuinely glad to hear from participants, families, and support coordinators supporting someone who's transitioning from the justice system or a rehabilitation program, alongside everyone else we work with.
We're a registered NDIS provider based in South Australia, supporting participants across Adelaide. Our current Supported Independent Living vacancies happen to be in Modbury and Para Vista specifically, that's a vacancy detail, not a limit on our general service area.
What This Looks Like in Practice
| What to check | Golden Horizon Services | Sometimes reported elsewhere |
|---|---|---|
| Support worker | Preferences considered where possible | Assigned, may rotate |
| Service area | Across all Adelaide regions and remote locations | Broad region, variable local familiarity |
| Point of contact | Direct to the team running the business | Call centre or account manager layers |
| Complaints process | Varies by provider |
Who We Work With
We work with NDIS participants under self-managed, plan-managed, and NDIA-managed arrangements where applicable. That includes participants transitioning from the justice system or a rehabilitation program, alongside general Supported Independent Living and disability support participants. If your support coordinator, parole officer, or rehabilitation caseworker wants to talk specifics before you commit to anything, that's a normal part of how this works, not an extra step.
Our Mission
To make sure every participant we support has a genuine say in their own care, from who walks through their door to how their week is structured.
Our Approach
Start small, stay local, and actually know the people we support, rather than manage a roster too large for anyone to keep track of.
Our Standards
We keep our records straight, our reporting clear, and our pricing within NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits. No surprise invoices, no vague line items.
Our Commitment
Operate to the NDIS Practice Standards and the NDIS Code of Conduct in everything we do, and be upfront the moment something isn't working rather than waiting for a formal complaint.
